Human Statue of Liberty
Boy, you don't see amazing things like this any more. This was back in the day when EVERYBODY recognized the sacrifice a soldier made for this country. This was done back in the day when our nation respected our soldiers and their cause. EVERYONE realized that their fight was valid, and without their efforts our way of life would cease.
In WWI days, Arthur S. Mole and John D. Thomas would use thousands of soldiers to make amazing photographs. This one was titled, "Human Statue of Liberty". It was taken at Camp Dodge in Des Moines, Iowa. 18,000 soldiers were used for the art photo. Col. Wm. Newman commanded, and Col. Rush S. Wells directed.
Amazing, just beautiful!
