What is Art?
When i typed the word art into the search engine "google" the first image you see is
Which is a picture of a logo for the www.britishcouncil.org/arts-grants-to-artists.htm which is a council that gives local UK artist grants that helps you with the costs of transporting work to an exhibition in a gallery abroad. Because art,depending on your medium,can be very costly to make and even more expensive to display.
Maybe Dali or Michelangelo is more your style.How bout a taste of Kadir Nelson or Justin Bua. Whats your Flavor?

WHAT IS ART?
Art by definition is-(1) The quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.
(2) Is the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way that appeals to the senses or emotions.
(3) ART IS INTENT
What that means is art is made with the intention of stimulating thoughts and emotions.
For example: A cup, which solely can be used as a container, may be considered art if intended solely as an ornament, while a painting may be deemed craft if mass-produced.
So wouldn't tattoos fall under the same category?
I believe so, because, if by definition I intend for it to stimulate thought and it makes the client feel a definite emotion every time, it is by definition art.
