But in any event, Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of MTV’s “Jackass,” has died in a car crash in Pennsylvania. He was 34. That’s pretty young to buy the farm, by any measure, even a guy torching the candle at both ends.

TMZ confirmed the death with the mother of one of the other members of the crew, Bam Margera. Bam himself broke the news on a DC radio show.

Dunn and another passenger died in a 3 a.m crash at Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania.

However, the AP says “speed may have been involved.”

Dunn was perhaps best known for his parts in crashing things such as golf carts. Others might remember him placing a toy car, in a condom, up his rectum in the original “Jackass” film. He was funny, but if you’ve seen any of the Jackass antics, you have to wonder why this hasn’t happened before now.

Living dangerously, those boys. Live hard, drive hard, die young. Bad way to go, in any event. R.I.P.
