Kate Hudson has asked for "celebration trees" to be planted for her baby.

The 32-year-old actress - who gave birth to her second son in Los Angeles on Saturday (10.07.11) - and fiance Matt Bellamy have urged pals to mark the arrival of the tot by using the Barcham Trees website to create new plants. It is the same request the blonde beauty made at her baby shower in Malibu last month.

According to Usmagazine.com, Kate also revealed in an email to friends that the baby - whose name has not yet been disclosed - weighed in at 7lbs 12oz.

Matt and Kate - who has a seven-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson - plan to spend the next few weeks at the rocker's London home while his band Muse record a new album.

The 'Fool's Gold' star recently revealed she couldn't wait to meet her unborn baby because she wanted to find out its sex.

She said: "I'm really excited. I'm not in a rush, I don't have nerves, I'm so excited to have another baby, for our family, we are all really happy, so I can't wait.

"And I'm getting to the end, so I'm like, 'Ahhh, what is it going to be, who is it, is it going to come out screaming, is it going to come out quiet, is it going to have eyes open, is it going to be shut, is it going to have hair?' "
