Life sentence for Dominic Bibby murderer in Blackburn - BBC News

A man has been jailed for life after beating a caretaker to death with a baseball bat in Lancashire last year.

The body of Dominic Bibby, 31, was found at his home in Delph Close, Blackburn, on 22 December.

Glen Mould had admitted manslaughter but denied murder. He was due to stand trial at Preston Crown Court this week.

Mould, 36, changed his plea and admitted murdering Mr Bibby. The judge described him as a "nasty and persistent bully".

Mould struck his victim at least 40 times with a baseball bat in a row about motorbike insurance.

He then went on the run for nine days with Terence Swallow, 37, before they were found by police in a Blackpool guest house.

Swallow, of Walton Street, Accrington, was jailed for 16 months in June after admitting perverting the court of justice.
