April 2011 - Two senior reporters Ian Edmondson and Neville Thurlbeck arrested as part of the continued investigation into phone hacking.
July 2011 - Evidence emerges that the phones of Milly Dowler, 7/7 victims, and the families or war dead's phones were hacked. James Murdoch announces last edition of the News of the World will be published on 10th July 2011.
